Becoming a Rep has allowed me to share my experiences of my own mental health within a safe environment while also listening and learning from others.

I’ve been a Local and Forum Rep for around eight years and have found the role very rewarding. Becoming a Rep has allowed me to share my experiences of my own mental health within a safe environment while also listening and learning from others.

The Forum has provided me with experience, knowledge and skills, and this has enabled me to have a paid role within the Comms Working Group.

I have a particular interest in ensuring that people have the correct information when they first access mental health services. I also look at how they can have the opportunity to share their own experiences to improve services.
