I previously worked in the NHS for 22 years, 17 of which was in a Mental Health Trust in England. I hope to help to achieve the Forum's presence at National and Regional level. Through the National Guidance, I want to ensure that we have Service Users and Carers coproducing at all levels of decision making.

I first became involved with Caniad, a third sector organisation in North Wales for Mental Health, five and a half years ago at a local level due to issues with a CMHT. This developed with more involvement at Regional level with Quality and Workforce Groups Local Implementation Team and others, then four years ago as Carer Rep on the Together for Mental Health Partnership Board.

I also spent two and a half years as Carer Rep on the Regional Partnership Board, covering all Health and Social Care Services. I’m currently Carer Rep on the Patient and Carer Experience Group. Three years ago I joined the Wales Mental Health and Wellbeing Forum as a North Wales Rep.

I am on the Future Planning and Comms Group and I am also Carer Rep on the MH Stakeholder Advisory Group (workforce plan) and MH Outcomes and Measures Board. Recently, I became a Carer Rep on the National Partnership Board.
